IPDS engineers can perform the following activities to ensure compliance with the requirements for any new or existing process/site:

Carry out a risk assessment of the dangers

Maintain an Explosion Protection Document

Advise on any further training of staff to the level of competency required

Ensure that an adequate maintenance strategy is in place or update existing

Eliminate or reduce the risks

Classify plant and site into hazardous and Non-hazardous zones

Provide adequate written Instructions, Permits to Work and Control of Work Procedures and enforce them

Inspect, identify and correct any defects in the explosion protection systems deployed.
